Organizers for the Street Scene Festival in San Diego have announced this fall’s lineup. It will feature Muse, Arctic Monkeys, and The Killers among many other performers.
The outdoor event will beheld September 22-23 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The roster will also include Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Spoon, Ozomatli, Air, Social Distortion, and Panic! at the Disco, among other artists. The complete performers lineup is listed on the MySpace event page at myspace.com/streetscene.
The festival, which was first established in 1984, also will feature vaudeville acts and a comedy stage, according to the event’s organizers who are promising “interactive festival processions” as well.
The event last year featured a total of six different performance stages. The lineup of over 50 acts included Queens of the Stone Age, My Chemical Romance, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Kanye West and Tool.
The Del Mar Fairgrounds, which also includes the adjacent facility of Del Mark Racetrack, is a new location for the festival. Earlier Street Scene versions were held in Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego before they moved over to Qualcomm Stadium in 2005, the home of the NFL football team San Diego Chargers.
