Muse Nominated for Top Band Honor at Brit Awards

Posted by Janice Bryant On January - 20 - 2010

Muse, the rock heroes from South Devon, have received a nomination for a very prestigious British award.

Last year the band, who first met and had gigs in Teignmouth, had two sold out gigs that thrilled the seafront resort’s local fans.

Muse is a 2010 Brit awards nominee for best British group.

Kasabian, JLS, Friendly Fires and Doves are also nominees for the category.

On the band’s social networking page at Twitter, Muse told their fans that the news made them very pleased.

There was an outpouring of congratulations at the band’s website from their fans.

Muse was named as the 2007 Brits best live band. They received a nomination in 2008 for the same award.

At the Gaffa Magazine Awards in Denmark earlier this month, Muse received three awards. They were for best international song for their tune “Uprising,” best international album for “Resistance,” and they also were named as the best international band.

2010 Brit awards show is being held on February 16 in London.
